Assertiveness

Assertiveness is the ability to be self-assured and confident without becoming aggressive in order to defend a correct point of view or a pertinent statement.

Although everyone acts passively and aggressively from time to time, such responses sometimes stem from a lack of self-confidence and are thus improper ways of dealing with others.

Assertiveness is a crucial personal and interpersonal ability that involves being able to express sentiments, wishes, needs, and desires correctly. Assertiveness can help you communicate yourself in a clear, open, and reasonable manner in all of your relationships with other people, whether at home or at work, with employers, customers, or colleagues.
