PROLOGUE
On the last night at their cottage lodge, Gary brought out a blue-bottled classic-styled old English sherry drink, undoubtedly Harveys Bristol Cream. With two Sherry glasses half full, Gary held her hands and slowly sat her down by the fireplace in the sitting room while Jason was sleeping.
In that serene and cosy atmosphere, with a ballad from Adele “One and Only” being played on Gary’s own external phone speakers, he went down on his left knee, pulled a promissory ring from the inside pocket of his blazer, and politely asked Bimbo, “Bimbo! You are the love of my life, and I thank you for taking good care of our lovely son, Jason. I want us to take our relationship to the next level. Will you please marry me, Bimbo?”
Consequently, a big yes came out of Bimbo’s mouth to Gary; admittedly, she repeated the yes three times with a deep kiss. The result was passionate lovemaking on the carpet in front of the fireplace. They ended up sleeping there until early in the morning.
